NEW ZEALAND...SOUTH ISLAND...

we woke up lakeside on the west coast! it was an amzing scene. the lake was covered in a light fog and the sun was just waking up. a quick sandwich, teeth scrub and we were of the franz josef glacier.
ofcourse we stopped for many a photo along the way setting us back in time. a broken bridge, horse mang, chay mang, himmerz mang, pure sheep mang.
unfortunatly we were unable to get a guided tour at franz josef, so we drove to the next town were the fox glacier lye dead. $90, a quick bus ride, endless guide blabbering, a 1.5 hour rainforrest walk and we had reached the entry point to the glacier.
it was cold, wet, windy, dangerous. and by the time we had reached it we were soaked. t=shoes slipping and slopping. the guide belted some crampons (spikes) to the bottom of our shoes for maximum grip on the ice. all in all it was amazing. if u ever get the chance bomb it!!
tired from the long walk we stacked a pub eatdown and were on our way. we were heading south towards queenstown. we wanted to arrive there as early as we could the next morning to make then most of it. after a 4 hour drive, a couple near misses of possums, running over a massive fallen tree branch wich covered the road (somhow not blowing out our tyres). the rain turned to hail. the roads extremly slippery and the mountians literaly turning into waterfalls wich blocked of half of the road we set up camp at a lake look out. the following morning the sites were amazing and weset of for queenstown..................
