FETHIYE . . . TURKEY . . .

After the typical free hotel breakfast we embarked on a hitch hiking mission from Olympos to Fethiye. The drive was amazing; curving along the coast line with the most pristine beaches with not a soul insight. Kyle Minogue blasting on the Kurdish truck drivers radio followed by some typical Kurdish music set the scene for a fun ride.
The following day in Fethiye we hired a scooter and drove to Oludeniz which is a little beachside town 30-40 mins away. When we drove up up and up over the mountain and got our first glimpse of the beaches ahead our mouths dropped to the ground! Just like we had heard, pristine Mediterranean beaches as far as the eye can see that we could enjoy for ourselves! After a solid couple hours swimming around the coves and chilling on the beach we drove up into the mountains and tested out the scooters off road capabilities! Along the way we met 2 french men who were on a mission walking the entire coastline with 20kg backpacks! They also advised us the road ahead was way to rough to take the little scooter but we pushed on!
After some time we were up in the clouds and the surrounding pine trees forrests soothed all our natural needs. The orange sun rays piecing through the canopy and warming up the soft bed of grass bellow. There was no one around except for a little lady going for a saturday afternoon stroll with here baby and cow.
When carefully winding our way back down the mountain with smiles from ear to ear we watched the sun slide down in the Mediterranean and once again i thought of my friends from around the world and wished they could be here with us!
