Went to Sri Lanka in December and beginning of January for a little 5 week trip. Incredible country full of inspiring people and each meal time a highly pleasurable experience.
Sri Lanka is a small tropical island of the south coast of India. Due to it being secluded, surrounded by sea it harbors an array of endangered trees,plants and animals, tea plantations spread as far as the eye can see in the higher parts and crystal clear water full of marine life make it a paradise for diving. Buddhism being the religion that dominates so as you can imagine there is some serious shanti shanti vibes. Not so many years have passed since civil war and unrest has stopped, but the country seems to be uniting together, with a smile from ear to ear moving into the future at a fast pace. If u get a chance check it out ASAP before this paradise becomes the new Thailand . . .
